Demolition of sports hall officially started!

On the Monday after the announcement on Wednesday 29 May, the demolition of the sports hall started immediately. The demolition permit had been applied for several weeks ago, in the hope that the lease contracts and approval from the Town Council would follow. Agreement was also reached with the Purmerendse Scholengroep, who will continue to use the sports hall for gymnastics lessons (but then gymnastics lessons 2.0). 

HLE Bouw has been selected as the contractor in recent weeks. Together with both an architect for the total (also architects), an interior architect and an architect specifically for esports and gaming from Poland, a plan has been made. The goal is to open H20 esports Gaming Stadium before the end of the year (ideally October-November). Follow the H20 renovation on our social: LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram to stay up to date.

The bicycle racks behind the gym have been removed. This is temporarily a construction site. After the renovation, about 42 extra parking spaces will be created here.
The temporary construction site will be set up so that the surrounding residents are inconvenienced as little as possible.
Inside, the floor has been covered, as have the stands, to prevent damage during the renovation.
