CPOW, which stands for Confessional Primary Education Waterland, provides special primary education at 19 school locations in the municipalities of Purmerend, Waterland, Edam-Volendam and Landsmeer. The educational offering is diverse and includes general special Montessori education, special primary education, education for newcomers, and education for children aged 10 to 14.
The organization values three shared core values: trust, connectedness, and mattering. These values are visible in both the educational offerings and the pedagogical climate of the schools. CPOW strives to develop children broadly, where sincere attention and positive role models are important.
An important aspect of education is the focus on (re)knowing children's own talents and needs. CPOW believes it is essential for children to be truly seen for who they are, and not just for their achievements. This approach helps children grow up self-confident and contributes to their personal development.
