What is the Sports & Gaming Championship Purmerend?
The Sports & Gaming Championship Purmerend is the championship in which every young person from Purmerend in the age category of 8 to 18 years can participate. The special feature of this championship is that you not only have to be able to play games, but also to play soccer or dance (Just Dance). You have a chance in different categories to win a total prize pool of 1,200 euros and various game prizes.
During the coming weeks, starting May 8, 2024, there will be several qualifying tournaments per district in Purmerend and Beemster. See further on this page the program of all qualification tournaments. By participating in these qualifying tournaments you and your team of three youngsters can qualify for the grand final in the Rabo Esports Stadium. Will your team win the grand prize? Sign up now!
The grand finale
At each qualifying round, on Wednesday afternoons from 4:15 to 7:15 p.m., they will compete in a game (Fortnite or FCEA/FIFA) and a sport (3×3 soccer or Just Dance) to see who are the best teams in the district. Finally, the competition will conclude with a fantastic final live on July 3, 20 24 at the H20 Rabo Esports Stadium in Purmerend. Here the finalists from the various districts will compete against each other in the aforementioned games and sports from the previous qualifiers. Of course, this spectacle will be streamed entirely on Twitch!

Starting May 8, 2024, there will be a qualifying tournament every 2 weeks from 16:15 - 19:15.
Round 1: May 8, 2024
Round2: May 22, 2024
Round3: June 12, 2024
Round4: June 26, 2024
The grand finale will take place on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
How can I participate?
Everyone can participate! Yes, really anyone! Only you have to be between 8 and 18 years old. Participation is completely free. You have to live in Purmerend. If you are under 18 and participate in the tournament, you must have permission from a parent / guardian.
All qualifiers will be held at the Rabo Esports Stadium on the Spinnekop in the Koog. You'll obviously want to show off your skills to your friends and family, so forward this and invite them to cheer you on to become your district champion.
