Sports Hall De Koogmolen (taken from board resolution)

This summer, the Regio College and the Purmerendse Scholen Groep (PSG) will move out of the school building on Spinnekop 2. After this departure, the municipality will rent the school building to Stichting H20, which wants to establish an IT campus for starting and established IT companies, IT education and e-sports. This will better connect education and the labour market with business in the IT sector. As an extra facility, the foundation wants to rent the De Koogmolen sports hall for practising e-sports and digitally supported sports (with screens, light and sound and virtual reality).
The municipal council has made €300,000 available for the maintenance of sports hall De Koogmolen. The sports hall will then be rented to Stichting H20.
The PSG still needs the sports hall for some of its gymnastics lessons. Sport Hall De Koogmolen is currently property of the PSG. It has been agreed with the school group that in the coming years a number of (e-sports) gym lessons will be organised in the sports hall. The PSG will return the ownership of the sports hall to the municipality.
